11- far from ordinary

In 2:33

I wrote back in 2020 about someone I’ve never met

as of late I’ve been having the same dream I can’t forget

I know the process won’t be perfect but the wait,

it’s well worth it

I’m talking about something deeper when I write so I hope you can see past the surface

it’s like I’m writing about myself but not through my eyes

it’s a mirrored perspective, one in which I hope to adopt in time

I see how love adorns you like an ornament

to make you laugh and see your smile

how fortunate

I mean what are the chances we meet

what are your coordinates

these aren’t just lines of latitude that we made up drawn upon a map

it’s like

we could be meeting with more than minds

we could be woven and intertwined

maybe we’ll live and learn

maybe we’ll crash and burn

maybe you’ll stay or leave

maybe you’ll return

maybe another fight or we won’t survive

but maybe we’ll grow

we’ll never know if we don’t try

we’re far from ordinary,

we’re just people

and I think we should take it slow
